burress-catch-over-new-england-2Even though Plaxico Burress may very well be wearing an orange jumpsuit for the next few years, that is not stopping Drew Rosenhaus from shopping his clients services to other teams.

The super-agent has reportedly contacted NFL teams to inform them that the Giants WR is on the market for a possible trade.

Even though it would be absolutely ludicrous for any NFL team to make a trade for a player facing jail time, this is just another sign that Burress’ time in New York is up.  Following the nightclub incident in which Plax accidentally shot himself, the Giants suspended Burress and refused to pay him a $1 million signing bonus due to what they said was a violation of his contract agreement with the team.  Mixed signals have been given from teammates, management and coaches as to whether or not they want Plaxico back if he was somehow able to avoid incarceration.
