Much Needed Elixir

Phuck PhillyAs I sat in my seat and watched another Eli Manning pass miss its mark last night in Giant Stadium, I quickly turned my attention to the guy sitting closest to me wearing headphones and tuned to 880am.  The Yanks just took at 5-2 lead heading into the top of the 9th, and Mariano Rivera had 3 more outs to get to send the Yankees to the World Series.  I booked it back to my car, wanting to to hear the last few pitches.  I needed this.  My football teams completely let me down over the weekend. I was still sick to my stomach from late Saturday night, and the Giants didn’t help.  Watching them was like being severely hungover, and then going out on a small fishing boat on Lake Huron.   People like to know what that smell is by the NJ Turnpike.  Well, today it is the big Giants turd in the middle of the meadowlands.  Anyway,  Yanks were my late in the day night hangover cure, as Rivera sat down the Angels, 1-2-3.

Game over.

ALCS over.

THAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA YANKEES WIN!

All the way back home on Route 17, people in NJ were honking their horns. People yelling for joy, YANKEES F’N RULE!  I had two thoughts cross my my mind – 1.  I needed to go to bed.  2. Fuck Philly.

Congrats to the Yankees and Phillies. You are both deserving to be in the Classic. That being said, I hope the Dodgers and Angels kick your collective asses next year.

I watched almost this entire game, from about the top of 2nd inning on.

    on purpose.

    seriously.

observations: 1) George Posada looks funny when he steps into the batter’s box and digs a freaking hole with his foot in the dirt, kinda like he’s humping a doorknob. 2) Jetes was pretty pissed when the on-field reporter guy was talking to him about the Yanks failures over the past several years. 3) Girardi has braces? 4) ARod had 5 plate appearances and got on base all 5 times…that’s good, right? 5) The home plate ump had a curious strike zone. 6) The Angels fielding sucked donkey ballz. 7) Vlad Guerrero is one ugly mo fo.

It’s not the Yankees’ fault other franchises just don’t try as hard.

Phillies in 6, Yankees need to pay the Umps to get it to 7. Lee will be the MVP and A-ROID will bat 175 with 1 homer aand two RBI’s.
