The Weekly Spartacast – After the Crash
Wow. Everybody, I gotta tell ya, we had one of the best Spartacasts ever this week. With Sparty still not quite ready to return to hosting duties from his vacation I filled in once again, this time bringing in PatPhish and JPManahan for an hour-long discussion on everything, even Hockey! There was a great back and forth discussion, some arguments, and Pat and I nearly came to fisticuffs… or at least Internet fisticuffs. And all of it happened as we watched the Tigers/Twins’ one-game playoff on Tuesday night. Yep, this was probably the best Spartacast ever!
Unfortunately, that isn’t the Spartacast you’re going to get. Not even close. What you’re about to download is about 35 minutes of me, Big D, having a great conversation with myself, with JP jumping in about every eight minutes for a quick thirty second point.
You see, sadly not everyone in this world is tech savvy. And although I won’t call anybody out, let’s just say that one of our authors (*cough* PATPHISH *cough*) doesn’t quite grasp the concept of “don’t unplug the USB microphone while you’re trying to record”. And so, after the entire conversation was complete, we realized that all of his audio was lost to a software crash and gone forever. That meant that my options were to fill in the blank time with random Family Guy audio clips (pretty good option) or just can it altogether and wait till next week.
Well, I know my audience. And I know that given the choice between listening to nothing or listening to thirty minutes of sports talk with random Family Guy clips** interspersed where Pat was supposed to be talking, you’re going to choose the Griffin family. Luckily, I was able to get enough clips that actually kinda sorta came close to making sense, or at least almost fit into whatever JP and I were talking about at the time. So, here goes nothin’. I’m not even going to bother with a transcript this week, I’ll just let you figure it out on your own.
** NOTE: Random Family Guy clips are exactly that – unedited clips from the show. Just a head’s up so you don’t get pissed at me if your boss fires you for laughing yourself out of your cubicle.
