Seventh Inning Stretch: SAE-ge NFL Predictions

Bringing you SAE-ge NFL predictions

I know summer has 20 some days left, but it feels like it’s already over. My older son started kindergarten today, college football starts this week, Labor Day is this weekend, and the NFL season starts a week from Thursday. Also, my baseball team stopped playing sometime back in June. Even weather-wise it didn’t feel like summer, we have only had a handful of truly hot summer days. Complaining aside, this has been a pretty good summer.

Did a crapload of yardwork yesterday so it was nice having the day off today to relax. Threw Hot Shots Golf 3 into the PS2 for the first time in months, that was far from relaxing when I couldn’t sink a putt to save my life. That and occasionally Tin Cupping it: “I don’t need to lay up, I can make this shot.” At least USA had a Bond marathon on.

NFL predictions

I may as well throw my hat into the ring:
First coach canned: Belichick, after Brady gets injured again and Kraft blames Belichick for the bad karma
Most devastating injury: Steve Hutchinson trips on #4’s walker, tumbles into AP and Sage, knocking all 3 of them out for the season (you knew there had to be one #4 reference, didn’t you?)
Biggest improvement: Detroit Lions, finishing 1-15 gives them the highest win percentage increase in league history (trust me, do the math)
Least surprising development: Andrew McCarthy and Jonathan Silverman get caught with their legs tied to Al Davis’s and walking him around
Most played out storyline: Dallas’s scoreboards/big screens, although it’s probably the only thing worth talking about in Dallas this season
Super Bowl champ: Like I would know, I haven’t picked the champ before the season correctly 12 years straight. Guess I’ll go with the same pick (\homer’d)
