The Morning After: June 29, 2009

The Morning AfterSo it has been a few weeks since I last hosted a Monday morning TMA….Life has been a bit interensting for me as of late. I have two small kids and I am set to add my 15 year old son to the mix. He is moving from accross the country…drama ensues. Anyways, I am looking forward to it all. All of the changes should be completed by the end of July so, if you wonder where I am on a regular basis I am probably dealing with some aspect of this change in my life…..all good though.

So I want to start you off with something you could click on the Yardbarker side bar widget and see for yourself…but it is Tim Tebow news. It is old news, but very much worth reviewing.

While perusing the New York papers for Mariano Rivera 500 save news I came across the following Michael Jackson news. Jackson was bald? He was skin and bone? Surprising? Not Really.

Oh…wait this isn’t TBL so back to the sports news…Mariano Rivera earned his 500th save and got his first RBI….while the Yanks swept the Mets.

Joey Logano became NASCAR’s youngest winner ever at 19…while Indy Car had a snooze fest.

Kenny Perry won again on the PGA Tour….proving he isn’t done after blowing the Masters

The Ricky Rubio drama is just starting to get interesting. I think Minny signs him somehow….but Houston is in the mix?

Peyton Manning the best player in the NFL? Drew Brees better than Larry Fitzgerald and Adrian Petersen? I see one of us doing a better job on this list in the very near future.

Michael Jackson, Ed McMahon, Farrah Fawcett…supposed to end with three…but pitchamne Billy Mays passed away yesterday as well. Sad, sad week.

Holy crap, there is nothing to talk about. No drama, no good juciy sports crap. Just baseball? The best drama would involve the “never going to happen” Carlos Zambrano waived from the Cubs rumor?

Oh well…Hopefully the news picks up throughout the day…I dont wanna read any Jay Mariotti crap. So until Hit and Run comes out in an hour or so…this is all I got this morning.
