sundaysportsThe great thing about Sunday is that it’s usually a chill day.  But, the crappy thing about Sunday is that it’s the day before Monday.  Don’t think about that though.  Think about the sports on the magic picture box today…schedules after the jump.

Are any of you guys in any sports leagues this Summer?  Softball, volleyball, soccer, badminton, etc?  We’ve got a park next to our neighborhood and I’ve been hearing the ping of metal bats every Saturday and Sunday morning noe for the past several weeks.  It’s a pretty cool and Summer-ish sound to hear.  Unfortunately, the occasional crazy parent’s voice carries our way too.

The biggest sporting event of the day is not the Lenox Industrial Tools 301 in Loudon, NH.  It’s the USA vs. Brazil soccer match in the championship game of the Confederations Cup.  The game is live from Johannesburg, South Africa at 2:00 pm ET.  Be there (in front of the tv) or be square.

All MLB teams are back in action today.  Here are the scheduled disagreements:

We’ve also got some New England NASCAR Sprint Cup action at Loudon, NH today.  The green flag is scheduled to be waved for the Lenox Industrial Tools 301 around 2:15 pm, ET.  Since qualifying was rained out Friday, the starting grid was determined by overall season points standings:

Enjoy the last day of the weekend!  By the way, since July 4 is a Saturday this year, do most of you have Friday off?  I do…working for the gub’ment is sweet!

USA! USA! USA!!
