Get ready to hear a lot of “Shaq could be on his way to…” over the next few weeks. We have already heard that the Cavs and the Suns have resumed talks about a deal to send Shaq to Cleveland. The latest rumor involves O’Neal going to the Windy City in exchange for Luol Deng and Tim Thomas. Whereas this deal makes sense for both teams, it makes zero sense for Shaq.
Everyone needs to listen. Shaq is not going to a team where it gets cold. He has played his entire career in places that don’t have fall clean-up or snow removal. He will make sure that Steve Kerr sends him someplace warm, to keep those big ol’ joints nice and limber in case of a long playoff run.
This won’t stop the rumor mill from churning this summer when it comes to the Shaqtus.

Any team that trades for Shaq is dumb. He is completely washed up. Therefore I expect Shaq to get traded to the Pistons. knightwhosaysni(Quote)
I love Shaq as a player and I’m happy to have had the opportunity to follow his entire career. But at what point do we start thinking “maybe he’s getting moved so much because of his personality?”
Is there like a whole other side to Shaq that we don’t get to see? Is he a petulant clubhouse cancer and nobody knows about it? It there some unwritten rule among teammates and former teammates that because everybody outside the league loves him, they have to keep their mouths shut?
I cannot remember a “Superstar” being the subject of more trade rumors than Shaq has in the past five years. If/When he gets moved this offseason it will be his fourth team in ten years, which is kind of surprising for a guy who was once called the most dominant player in the history of the league.
I know he’s a shell of what he once was, but at what point do we start re-evaluating just what the Shaq Era has been? Maybe he was just a freak of nature who happened to land with some amazing teams along the way?

Shaq needs to retire and just get a job on TNT sparty(Quote)
I’ve never liked Shaq at all. As a rule I don’t like any player that can’t hit at least 75% of their free throws. It’s all you freaking do for a living! Practice your free throws for the love of god. knightwhosaysni(Quote)
