Who says week one of the college football season sucks? Those four games fill the day, no excuses!

Speaking of college football…What if I told you Ohio State violated an NCAA rule? Nah…it’s one of the lame ones.

…and Memphis…They looked really really hard and found no violation. In other news, school president Shirley C. Raines was last seen burning paper in her backyard. Says it was poo in a bag.

NHL Alert! Hey I’d get in trouble if I didn’t write about the Wings beating the Pens at 7pm…that’s before the game actually happened! BOY WAS I WRONG!! Pittsburgh’s 3 unanswered goals put them back in the series. Still gonna be tough though.

It’s a day before the biggest sporting event I’ve got to experience in my personal fandom since January…I can tell you this, Jameer Nelson IS playing (no confirmed like as of 7pm, but I have my sources). I wrote it in Sparty’s post yesterday and have heard some good things about what he’s done. Is he a game changer? Probably not, but the Lakers have always had trouble stopping him.

As for the Lakers, they’re a tough team…you might see a preview tomorrow…just maybe.

Last year’s MLB “story of the year” is heading to the DL for two weeks to two months. Dude has STRUGGLED this year….Also it didn’t take long for Edinson Volquez to get back on the DL…Sorry Cincy.

The Florida softball team was upset by the Lady Huskies of Washington…let’s get it out of the way. I hate to blame officials for losses and won’t here, but the highlight of the night was an ESPN announcer saying “that’s fucked up” as they went to commercial late. The home plate ump had been calling a very favorable strikezone in Washingtons favor.
