The Morning After: May 19, 2009

By sparty

The Morning AfterHow classy will the Boston fans be?  That is my question after reading that Public Enemy #1 in Beantown is dealing with some difficult and possibly tragic circumstances.

There is a report out there that former NHL great, Patrick Roy, was offered the head coaching job of the Colorado Avalanche.  He denies an offer was made.  Personally, I would like to see him take the job and maybe hire Claude Lemieux as an assistant so we can restart the best rivalry in sports in the mid-late 90s.

Michael Phelps  shows rust in his return.  Who wants to bet he ends  up winning those events the next time he races?

The red-hot Brewers just lost Rickie Weeks for the season. Tough break (pun not intended).

If you didn’t already know, Jason Whitlock is a huge fan of Selena Roberts.

The NBA playoffs have been pretty friggin bad.

Sorry dude, Maddon should know how to check his work on a lineup card.

SWEET! HOLOGRAMS!!! We are getting so much closer to Total Recall.

Darius Miles busted for pot.  Wait, pot? Not crack?  That isn’t surprising in the least.

Tony Kornheiser is finally out of the MNF booth.  Jon Gruden is in.  I think this is a nice short term solution.   Hopefully next year, when Gruden has another head coaching job, ESPN will go to a two-man booth.

Doesn’t anyone talk to these guys before they go on the air?  It is only okay for Craig Sager and Don Cherry to dress like asses, because both are useless.

Cycledan? Glad to hear that you survived a 250ft fall.

Stay classy Morehouse!

Butt Cleavage. (NSFW)

The first part of this video is a great metaphor.
