The Morning After: April 19, 2009

By patphish

tma-weekendGood morning. Things are starting to heat up in the sports world again, after almost nothing for the 2 months since the Super Bowl. Apparently there was some sort of basketball tournament or something, but I can’t be sure. Playoff hockey is awesome, and the NBA is getting close to being watchable again. Baseball is in full swing (the Indians just scored again), the NFL draft is next weekend and golf is on every weekend. The next 2 months are the only time all year you can turn the tube on any night and see a game that matters. That’s cool.

Bulls rule! I constantly rip on the NBA because it has the worst regular season, but watching Derrick Rose made me proud to be a Chicago fan again.

The greatest player in the world started his march to a title.

Now this is a surprise.

Atlanta has killer nudie bars (/Al Bundy’d) but the Heat wouldn’t know.

A fellow blogger and commenter starts an excellent debate.

The Wings are on their way to defending their conference title…………………

where they will get swept by the much stronger Eastern conference champs.

Cleveland just scored again.

Wonder who he got caught paying, banging, texting?

Smart Michael.

Dumb Michael.

This guy is good.

Yeah, it’s way early, but these guys are also very good.

And………..the Indians just scored!

Manny being Manny.

I don’t get the appeal, but many of you do.

AYFKM?

You’re welcome.

Just because: Craigslist rules. Freak.

OK for recruiters to contact this job poster.

I bet the recruiters that I’m trying to get jobs through would be much more interested in helping this craigslist d00d out than they are in helping me out.  (Quote)
