The Morning After: January 3, 2009

By mizerle06

tma-weekendGood Sunday morning.  I gave Patphish the morning off after he rambled on with some excuse about a bowl game, a big juicy steak, and scoring something all wrapped up with some nonsense about Mrs. Patphish’s birthday.  It was getting rather embarassing so I told him to run along and I’d take care of TMA…so, here I am.

So…um…did you guys see that bowl game? *awkward silence*

You know, I appreciate the Vols basketball team trying to provide a distraction from the abysmal Chich-fil-A Bowl showing by the football team, I just think they could have accomplished their goals with better, more legal methods.  There could be well-deserved dismissals.

Good news though, we’ve found a hole to live in on the moon.  Start packing.

The ladies took care of business yesterday and threw a couple down in the meantime.

Urb’s future unclear?  Didn’t give an answer to “The Question”? I’m fairly certain I heard the words “I’ll be the coach of the Florida Gators next season” escape his mouf just two nights ago…sounds pretty definite to me.

Uh oh, Shaq.  Giving new meaning to a “Shaq-attack”, huh?  Just blame it on Kobe.

GatorTrey talked about this, right?

A BCS conference team would have eaten at least 600 el beez worth of beef, except for Vandy (they’re all vegans*, like Jay Cutler)

In case you needed further reassurance, the Clippers suck.

A bunch of jibberish that ultimately just means Phil Knight’s filthy rich.

Girls, thank the football team.

Aw shux, that Nicky is a swell guy.

Sticking with Patphish’s theme…a best of craigslist!

And one more to grow on…a best of facebook!

*vegan = wussy

holy crap, msu had 43 frosh and sophomores on the roster. didn’t realize we were that young. but that was no excuse for last night. that game was a microcosm of our season, especially defensively. however, the offensive line was absolute garbage. Cousins never had enough time to pass, and besides a few long runs, for the most part the running game was stifled at the line. man, when will the bowl futility end…?  (Quote)

i refuse to accept that we can’t have a season every 2-3 years where we win 10 games and a bowl game. not when we are one of 5 biggest schools in the country.  (Quote)

Yeah the same could be said about the Penn State basketball team and yet we’re never really good at all.

I’m up way to early on a Sunday and the Pittsburgh airport is as close to a ghost town as possible. 20 minutes to check my bag and get to the gate. It has never been quick  (Quote)

I got stuck in the Pittsburgh airport when a tornado was on the runway flying home on business (in my previous career). My 6pm flight took off at 1:30am…sweet.  (Quote)

As soon as they ship out the sorry ass def. cordinator. At some point, you would think our guys would learn to cover someone-or at least tackle them. We’ve got the right head coach finally, now it’s time to put this shit together.

P.S. Draymond Green is a beast.  (Quote)

Since I’m an “expansion team” (first ever Fantasy Team), I think 5th 6th place is pretty good.  (Quote)
