Hope everyone had a good holiday with their families and an uneventful Black Friday. My Black Friday was shopping online for a deal on an iPod nano to replace my decrepit 80GB model. We get a small employee discount at Apple and 3 years ago I got a really good deal on a nano for my wife on Black Friday. So I anxiously checked our Black Friday deal, it was an extra $2 off our usual mildly discounted price on the 8GB and nothing extra on the 16GB. Woo hoo…let the good times roll. Turns out it was actually cheaper to get it from Amazon at their normal price. Apple sux! I’d go to a different kind of mp3 player, but we already have the car cable and portable speaker system. Maybe next time I’ll find something better, but hopefully this one will last much longer than the 3 years the 80GB has gone. Found some good deals on things for the kids and wife as well.

Dude that sucks, I’ve found that iPods generally last around 2-3 years before they die, though my original would still work if I cared enough to replace the battery
