Happy Hour, er, Last Call

By sparty

new-happy-hour-logo-copyHey everyone, I am pretty sure most of you are out enjoying the end of the week at your favorite watering hole or eatery, but in case you are around, here is the post to chit-chat in throughout the night.

There are a few games of note to follow tonight, most notably the big match-up at MSG between the Cuse and UNC. The Orange looked awesome yesterday, and the Tar Heels did as well, except for maybe the last 10 minutes. This has the chance to be a very very good early season game. You can find it on ESPN @ 7pm

Boise State @ Utah State is the lone Top 25 football game tonight. Not on the Smurf Turf means I am not interested in the game. If you want, it is on the Deuce @ 930p.

The Magic play Boston if you can about the NBA tonight. I sure as hell don’t.

After Michigan State destroys Toledo, I will be checking out Smallville. Clark is forced to kneel before Zod in a vision by Lois.

you’ve got this thing all backwards…the week is for slacking and the weekend is for taking care of business.

    this lesson was free.

Just got back from MSG. I am hoarse from yelling “Let’s Go Orange” the last two nights. What a great time. Today I only got there in time to see the 2nd half of the consolation game but I was there to see a great game between NC and Cuse. I drove there with my son and his two friends after they had track practice.

Real back and forth game with each team having their runs in the first half and NC was up by 2 at the half. In the 2nd half, Cuse went on a run and looked great. They just nailed their shots, kept the pace up and it was fun.

I was surprised that it was almost half and half, Carolina and Cuse fans in the Garden. It was almost like an NCAA tournament atmosphere. Groups of fans were going at each other. EVen saw something going on with some security guards at one point. That was one satisfying win. Cuse pulled ahead by 20 at one point and won by 16 over the defending national champs.

They were dropped out of the AP top 25 last poll since they lost a preseason game to a Div II cross town rival. Well now they are playing for keeps and they are looking good.

I forgot to watch Flash Forward since I was out drinking and watching basketball the last two nights. Good thing for DVRs. I wish I had DVR’ed the game tonight.
