Thanksgiving is a tremendous holiday. My tradition is to travel to Pinehurst, Whispering Pines, North Carolina where my Grandadma lives, and stay there for a few days… but what I always make a point to do is take out my Grandad’s golf cart with my cousins. We usually drive around the neighborhood and course and generally just make idiots of ourselves….

This is the second Turkey Day that I will not be going to NC with my fam since we moved my Grandma up here about a year and a half ago. My bros, spousal unit and cousins have been complaining for the past week that our parents sold the house and we are not getting together in Whispering Pines for Thanksgiving. The family that bought the house better have some good times like we did. If those walls could speak….

Another family tradition is our family soccer game. We have had to change the teams because of dominance of one side over the other. Unfortunately, I have been on the losing side for most of the years, but always hope for something different each year.

And a ND fan to boot? Tough luck.
