GatorTrey: Iowa would get worked by Florida, Alabama, or Texas…In my opinion. They could beat TCU and they would probably give Oregon the once over.

HawkEye19: Roast duck with a side of potatoes sounds right tasty.

You guys must not be watching the games if you think Iowa would beat Oregon. I can't wait to drop hammer on what ever Big-11 teams comes out to Pasedena.

Just saw this on Adam Rittenberg's Big-10 blog on ESPN. Apparently the "Bullshit Reception" was ruled as it wasn't a fumble - it was also not a complete pass to Tow-Arnette. It was ruled a deflection Tow-Arnette to Bennett because the ball never hit the ground.

Damn it, now I have to watch that play again and re-live the misery to see if I agree with that explanation.

Still doesn't change the fact that the play before was a fumble that MSU recovered and was somehow overturned by the replay official seeing something that everyone else must not have seen...

Yes, I'm bitter after this one. Need Izzo to unleash the hounds on a few teams as retribution...

sparty:
dude, our defenses got smacked.

I know we got smacked down like little bitches, but those two plays were absolute bullshit.

And just as much as we smacked Iowa around for 58 minutes and then lost with a prevent D in the final 2, we should have won this game after the fumble that was overturned.

It's essentially the same argument people have with Iowa - no matter how you slice it, they are 9-0, regardless of how they get there. If either fumble was called correctly, State wins that game, regardless of how they get there.

Blah...Your team was doing the whole group celebration again...and started with a pregame melee...that went both ways. I DON'T condone Spikes conduct and I would have suspended him for a game or two, but that was going both ways during the whole game.

HuskerDawg: THey are stout on D, Sparty. Trust me. The Bama-Fla game is going to be 10-6. It will be awful to watch, but the defeneses will be so fast and furious. Look for at least three Spikes’ eye-gougings.

Milk Money: All I wanna know is who paid off the Replay Ref at Minnesota. If ANYONE can explain how there was enough video evidence to overturn the first fumble, but not enough to overturn the fumble caused by the ground, to say nothing of the fact that the “immaculate bullshit fumble” play was a forward lateral (they only showed the angle once from the side, but the damn thing went forward), I’d like to hear it. The Spartans got jobbed in that game.

Actually, you lost to a Minnesota team that had 157 yards worth of penalties…

so florida really hasn’t looked good is what you are saying?

Defensively they've looked amazing. Offensively they are a different team than last year, less flash more gash. Addazio is running the leather off of the football and they're ranked 6th in rushing nationally. They've been in control of every game but Arkansas and unlike last year (vs Ole Miss) they won that one.

I know this is a homer post, but did anyone catch Nebraska's other badass DT's stat line Saturday? 13 tackles, 5 sacks, 2/5 TFL and a recoverd fumble.
