JP - Sorry for you loss. My dad passed 7 years ago, was sick for 8 years before that and his last years were dismal. I am sure your pop is in a better place and will keep an eye on you until you can be together again.

You have my sincere condolences JP. I lost my father several years ago, but there isn't a day that goes by that I don't think about him. Peace be with you, my friend.

CMFost

I think it is a little of both. Tenn is not playing well at all, but I do believe NE is starting to click. On the other hand, things do seem to click that much better when you play a crappy team at home.

CMFost: Is it really possible that the Titans are that bad or are the Patriots finally starting to get things going on the Offensive end?

i think it is mostly the Titans, but 5 TDs in one quarter? the patriots were doing something right

JP, it has been a tough year for me as well. My father is still alive at 87. However I moved him into a nursing home after several long struggles in the hospital and rehab facilities. There are things worse than death. Living in a dementia ward in a nursing home, sitting in a diaper in a wheel chair is worse. Couple that with the fact that he is sleeping 98% of the day, hardly ever knows where he is and can't even do basic things like go to the bathroom or feed himself most of the time, I would pray for a quick end if I believed in any supernatural creator of the universe who would listen.

I think of my father who said good-bye to his father for the last time at age 15 while his mother was already gone for 4 years and fled for his life. The man who served in the British Navy in WWII. The man who took care of the family, the man who was still skiing at age 70 and working until he was 72 is a shell of his former self.

So JP, I understand it is tough to go through a loss like you have. After my mother passed away when I was 15, I realized that to do your parents proud, you need to live your life and enjoy it. They wouldn't want anything less. And in your love for life, your parents still live within you.
