Two football games going head to head tonight and I’m really unsure of what to watch. Ya, I said that. For most of you the easy answer is probably the Steelers and Titans, and I agree that is probably where my TV will end up, but there is a BIG reason tonight’s college action intrigues me.
Georgia Tech!
I know many of you have figured out my love for all things triple option, it started as a kid watching Nebraska beat the hell out of opponents using the improvisational technique to perfection. In high school my school ran the Wishbone earning us a spot in the playoffs my senior year…It was capped by absolutely blowing a ranked school from Pennsylvania out of the water in a postseason “bowl game.”
Watching Georgia Tech is a thing of buew-tay…
Go ahead tell me how fucking crazy I am for even considering watching the college game over the NFL game!

College game will get my attention during commercials of the NFL game.
Can’t call you crazy Trey because I am not surprised.

Get a TiVo…then you can just keep switching tuners once the commercials hit and then go back and skip them.

and yet the triple option has failed in the nfl.

I have one…the problem is…I’m not a flipper.
Unmanlike, but not a flipper. I will probably end up watching the NFL game, because for the 1st time in awhile it’s a pretty good opener.

what do you know about NFL? Crazy triple option boy.
(Quote)
Everything. What about the triple option is crazy? Beside the defensive coordinators that have to stop it?
(Quote)
defensive coordinators in the nfl have no problem with it.
(Quote)
no one has the galls to run it.
(Quote)
not anymore.
(Quote)
No one ever really did.
I think Denver had it in their package a few years ago…as did the Bears
(Quote)
Dallas tried it briefly too. it was ineffective. if a team has used it, it has been used as a gimmick. it wouldn’t work as a base offense. you know how many qbs would be killed?
(Quote)
Rex Grossman could run it…

Rex can do anything

Including a lot of blow.

What do you do during commercials? (Or do I not want to know?)

I am a real big fan of PIP or my TV allows me to split the screen 50/50. Yesterday I was watching the Tour or Spain on DVR and watching the Yankee game in the small pic. Just flipped them when it looked like something was happening in the Yankee game. I have actually considered breaking out the little 13″ TV in the computer room so I can watch 3 things at once. This is the multi-tasking generation.

there are easier more expensive ways to do this ya know
(Quote)
Ha! No, I read, nerdy? Yes.

Cycle, for some weekends, I do have a 13 inch TV we split and watch 2 games at once.
When I was at UF, my roomates and I rigged up 4 TVs to watch all the games.

i have two 20″ teles in my garage above the pool table that are repeaters for other tee vees…but i will soon have distributed video throughout….pretty soon we will need three tvs (baseball, cfb, nfl)
