Saw this article on Yahoo about a high school coach being put on trial for one of his athlete’s death.

I know during summer two a days, I had puked or felt light headed a few times and so did most guys while in HS. As tragic as this is, to put the coach on trial seems ridiculous to me.

Bradshaw is good but not as good.

one can’t even make that assessment yet. he hasn’t played enough, but will get teh carries that ward is leaving him. he also adds an element that ward didn’t have, and that is breakaway speed. he runs just as hard as jacobs, and will knock guys bigger than him over. angry runner. excellent catching the ball outof the backfield as well.

While slightly more of a Jet fan than Giant fan, I have this feeling that the Giants are going to have a really good team again. Can’t cry over what would have been in 2008 if Plax hadn’t shot himself.

The one thing I am worried about is too much reliance on Brandon Jacobs. Losing Ward hurts. Bradshaw is good but not as good. I don’t see Jacobs running for 16 games the way he has without injuries and at that point, Bradshaw won’t be enough. They are also thin at receiver. Their D and O lines should be the strength of the Giant team.

Eli is not he highest paid QB but is probably only the 6th or 7th best passer at best.

I do think they will win their division due to a lot of things you talked about including the Cowboys not filling holes, Skins just not being that talented. Eagles could be good but they need some people to steup up at receiver. Also they need to work out this whole Vick thing. If they’re smart, he will simply be the backup QB and carry the clipboard.

eagles defense will struggle way too much. the loss of jim johnson will be huge.

Giants will lose the first game of the season and be out of the National Championship picture, going to one of the lesser bowl games, like the EagleBank Bowl.
