No problem, Spencer. With SEC media days beginning today (I can only assume most conferences start soon), I can really begin to get excited. We are just about a month and a half away, maybe less.

Troy is a decent team, but I would like to see Florida do a home and home with a solid BCS opponent outside of the their state. I think a Texas A&M series would be cool. Or a Michigan one, but that will probably never happen.

That’s the argument we always get, the problem is when we do schedule home and homes with another BCS team it is usally Miami. It was our second oldest rival.

That being said, Jeremy Foley has said from now on we will only play 2 BCS teams in years where we have 2 bye weeks. That gives us 2013 (@Miami) and 2018 and 2019 in the future.

I know UF is in talks with Miami again for those years. I wouldn’t be shocked if they come to an agreement with the Canes…and if they don’t, we might see someone else on the schedule.

We had worked a deal with NC State for a 1-1-1 series with one game in Orlando, but NC State backed out to take a home and home with UCF.

Seriously thiugh, Troy will be one of teh better mid majors this year, and we also play FAU…who stands no chance.

Fear not next year we pick back up with USF week 2.

Might have to see if there is an off Gator Saturday.

Just go on a week that Florida plays any of their first 3 non-conference scrimmages games.

After last year, it would be tough to do worse. I see the Knights as at least a 6 win team. Still want to see how the QB situation plays out. Our young offense is a year older which should lead to more consistent play on that side of the ball. I have high hopes for the defense. That being said, I am afraid we are going to get slaughtered at Texas and how we respond to that will make or break the season. Would be nice to take Miami when they visit in October. If we catch them in the right frame of mind I think we can get the win vs the “U”. I am most excited about Buffalo coming to town. I think that will be a great game. Final prediction 7 wins, 5 miz’s.
