S&F Weekend Sports

By mizerle06

sundaysportsSunday…usually a fairly lazy day.  And, there’s not a whole lot in the way of sports competition on the tube today.  I would suggest getting a little work done around the house…or flipping back and forth between TNT and TBS to see which one has the best movies on all day.   /reality’d

By the way, I’d like to give a shoutout to our famous commenter Fiesta Trio who became a pappy last night for the third time.  He’s such a loyal commenter, he live-blogged the event for us!  The rest of you could take note and learn a thing or two.  Anywho, congratulations from all of the Sparty & Friends family to Fiesta Trio and his ever-growing family!  I’ll find a ceegar and take a few puffs in his honor today.

It looks like everybody’s back in action again today in MLB.  In fact, the Cards and Cubs are so geeked about their early game in Chicago that they decided to play a late one too.  Here’s the full schedule:

I think the Tour de Lance finishes up their third day in the Pyrenees with a 100 mile ride from Saint-Gaudens to Tarbes via the Tourmalet Pass.  Those places are in France, I guess.  Here’s what happened yesterday (sounds like some highschool-level drama).

Oh, by the way, I’m a moron.  I told you yesterday that NASCAR was racing today when in fact they raced their Sprint Cup race (the LifeLock400.com) last night at Chicagoland Speedway.  So, no professional left turns today.

Finally, I’ve got a new kind of competition for you.  First one of you to kneecap this guy wins a cookie.  Now…GO!!

Complete with badly abbreviated tweets and everything! NBC can have a new show now when they cancel Leno at 10.  (Quote)

Which one: Tebow or Maisel? Actually, I have no problem kneecapping either one, since they’re both overrated.  (Quote)

I would go with both if I were you clown, that way you get 2 cookies.  (Quote)
