The Morning After: July 5, 2009

By sparty

tma-weekendI am such an awesome boss.  I decided that Patphish could take off his one day that he works for this site so that he could enjoy his extended weekend.  I knew this was a lot on him, so I was kind enough to say “Listen, I got Sunday for you.”  It is things like that, which make people want to come work for you.  The other thing is a dental plan.

Details are just starting to come out in the death of Steve McNair.

USA! USA! USA!  Joey Chestnut defended his title by eating a world record 68 hot dogs in 10 minutes. Utterly disgusting.

Jim Brown wants Tiger Woods to be more outspoken and attack more serious issues.  My guess that the cost of a ticket at Yankee Stadium wasn’t what Jim had in mind.

Serena Williams won Wimbledon for a 3rd time, and turned her sister away to do it.

Tony Stewart won the Miz is Redneck Invitational.

Lance Armstrong finished 10th in the opening stage of the Tour de France.  Not bad after taking the last few years and being lazy by only running marathons.

I know you all look forward to craiglist ads, so let’s not delay…

Some dude wants to create his own Kung-Fu Panda movie.

If Miz was to put out a personal ad, I am sure he would use a graph.

You can use the bathroom, but you have to stay in there.

You can clean his yard, and he can tell your kids that they suck.

you might want to rethink that thought the match should be over by now as he did blow that one tiebreak  (Quote)

Roddick-Federer was epic. Great tennis. Roddick did not lose serve the entire match until the final game. Phenomenal. Roddick is known for not showing up when the going gets tough. He did yak the second set away. But he didn’t fold after that. He wailed away and pushed Roger to the brink. Awesome tennis. Watched every minute. Instant classic.  (Quote)

agreed, great tennis match, to bad roddick couldn’t capitalize when up 40-15 on federe’s serve in the 5th set, after that federe was ace after ace…  (Quote)
