I would go see a team play on Long Island. I saw the Dragons of the Arena league play a few times. The problem with going to a pro game when you live on Long Island is that you have to cross the East River and the Hudson River. Traffic on Long Island, NY City and New Jersey on a Sunday afternoon is pretty atrocious. Attending a game means leaving early in the morning and coming back late.

So going to Citi Field might be an option as long as the tickets are reasonable. I would pay $25-$30/ticket to see minor league football.

True story, they decorated a lot of Orlando with Breakers gear for teh show, including painting a few busses.
