More Ivan Rodriguez. As a guy whose knees and back kill him when he has to squat down to do work on the house, I can’t imagine catching that many games. Pretty amazing accomplishment.

Ivan is the best defensive catcher I have ever seen. I would watch him play when he was in his prime just to see him play catcher. Just being able to fire a snap throw to first base after a pitch to try and pick off a runner was great and something you rarely see from most catchers. He totally shut down other team’s running games.

In the dugout, the skipper and sensitive superstar begin screaming at one another and have to be separated by coaches Yogi Berra and Elston Howard.

Just finished reading that chapter in “Ladies and Gentemen: The Bronxis Burning”. Nice happenstance.

Florida was offered to play Michigan State, but they were scared of getting their asses handed to them by the best defense in the Big Ten.

Re: Citadel…you can thank UCF and Knightro for our game against Charleston Southern this year. UCF pulled out to play Texas (understood) but as part of the buyout they had to find a replacement…they found Chaz Southern…
