Chiming in late but I agree with Sparty, Joba stays in the rotation. The 0-8 against the Red Sox is a new thing for me. I am not handling it well. Luckily (or unluckily) I have a lot more on my mind to worry about that actually affects me but 0-8?

Girardi still has guys in the bullpen to go to and he should have yanked CC a couple of batters earlier. I couldn’t believe he was leaving him in the game while watching. Nothing to do with whether Joba was in the pen or not. Take your chance with Acevas or Coke but he just couldn’t leave CC in their to die.

sure he has. his starts have been huge this year. not having to send the bullpen out after 5 innings every game has done wonders.

sparty: i think Wang could be really effective in the pen. BP pitchers usually only use 2 pitches.

It's apropos that you chose "BP" for bullpen here, since Wang's pretty much been throwing BP all season long.

Rich Rodriguez has not been off to a great start (Detroit Free Press) in Ann Arbor. We think he better deliver a ton of wins or beat OSU this year.
