I propose not being a niche league and being at the whim of NBC and a reality show and actually being able to control the scheduling of your Finals, so you don’t get forced having back to back games, or get in a position where your Finals are on a night no one watches TV. I think most businesses would want as many eyeballs on their product at its peak as possible but what do I know, its obvious the NHL knows what they are doing.

i don’t get the thought that more people watch sunday night than they would on saturday/friday night. you may not get as many households, but people are more likely to go to the bar on fri/sat night and watch a game than you would get on a sunday night. in fact, for hockey it is better, because nobody wants to be up to 1 am watching a sudden death OT that have to go to work in the next day. sparty(Quote)
