The only way rugby ever gets some attention here in the US is if it becomes an Olympic sport again in my opinion. If you could get some of the NFL talent to play rugby, it would be fun to watch. Also interesting to me how many of the rules have changed since I played.

One thing I like better about rugby is that you actually have to touch the ball down in the endzone to score. That is downward pressure has to be placed on the ball while it is on the ground in the end zone. No crossing some magical plane or getting a toe just inside the corner. Seems more definitive. Also seems kind of silly that it is still called a touchdown in football but the ball doesn’t need to be touched down any more.

You live in the right state for it. Surprised it hasn’t happened yet. Just golf or fish on a lake on any spring or summer afternoon. Your chances improve dramatically. We’ll keep our fingers crossed.
