The Morning After: June 6, 2009

By sparty

tma-weekendMany A few of you may have noticed some mild changes back and forth in the comments yesterday and today.  I am trying to find a way to make things easier in the commentin section of this post, and that includes trying out different plug-ins.  Let me know what you think with the new quote button within a comment. I may revert back to what we were doing all along, but not harm in trying.  I liked the idea of the threaded reply button, but it only allowed for minimal responses, so we did away with that.

Talk about bad friggin timing.  A new hot sauce is about to enter the market, and its name is Big Papi En Fuego.

ESPN finally has someone that can provide real updates when it comes to news, trades, and rumors.  Adam Schefter is now part of the 4 letter.  Pssst…Mort…take a hike.

A movie set in Cleveland, with a Detroit “landmark.”

Blame former Red Sox pitcher Dennis Eckersley for Josh Beckett losing his no-hit bid.  All I want to know is if Beckett shook Varitek off on the pitch selection before he gave up the hit.  You never do that to Varitek if you want a no-hitter.

Ron Artest enjoyed one of Patphish’s meals of choice; Bacon Wrapped Hot Dogs.

Plaxico’s attorney is heaving a Hail Mary.  Giants fans now hope he goes to jail.

The Braves are quite apologetic now that they dumped Tom Glavine without giving him a shot to pitch this year.  A players grievenace is next.  Tom, you are done, let it go.

Elton John loves Mauer and Morneau. NTTAWWT.

Before Carlos Zambrano hit a HR and won game #100, he almost ended up on the DL.  How? A tractor.

Mikey and FiestaTrio, let us know if it is worth it.
