Those silly Detroit Lions and their predictions.
The Lions have won 1 postseason game in the last 52 years. This franchise hasn’t seen the postseason in a decade. They are just 5 months removed from the worst season in NFL history. They are entering the 2009-10 season with either an untested rookie or a veteran with knees worse than Joe Namaths under center. Sure, they had some nice offseason moves in acquiring Julian Peterson and recently Larry Foote, and they also have one of the most dynamic wide receivers in the league with Calvin Johnson. But this is still the Detroit Lions.
Lions 2nd year running back, Kevin Smith, recently blogged that he won’t give a win total for the team, but guaranteed a playoff spot. Win a few games, better yet, win A game before you spout off. This is reminicient of Roy Williams and Jon Kitna running their mouths while with the team. Thanks for the laughs. But hey, awesome blogging!

why is Silent Bob making lions predictions?

Unless the Lions are playing in the LFL this coming season, I will have to disagree with Mr. Smith’s prediction.

Damn, sae! You beat me to it!

I could see Detroit winning 6 games in ‘09. In the NFC North, that might be enough.

See 2008 Miami Dolphins.
The freaking Cards won the putrid NFC last year.
Why not?

Cause they are the friggin Detroit Lions. but could they make it? sure, they could. definitely making it? no.

Same thing could be said of the Cards, this time last year.
(Quote)
nobody on the Cards said they were definitely making the playoffs.
(Quote)
Though one person did say the Cards were a good bet at 20/1 to win the NFC.
