Ranger 19 Orioles 6 – Ah, remember those days of the Orioles getting crushed by the Rangers? It wasn’t quite as bad last night, but you knew the Orioles were in trouble when Nelson Cruz hit a grand slam. Ian Kinsler was awesome, while hitting for the cycle. Orioles fans take consolation that they are still ahead of the Yankees and Red Sox.
Blue Jays 12 Twins 2 – What is in the water in Toronto? The Blue Jays continued their hot start, this time beating up on the Twins. The Jays connected on 4 dingers to help rough up the Twins staff. We will will see what Toronto is really made of when they play a real division.
Mariners 11 Angels 3 – Talk about unexpected teams off to a torrid start, the Seattle Mariners are playing out of their minds. The Kid has returned and breathed life back into the team from the Pacific Northwest, and Ichiro hasn’t taken too long to get back to doing what he does best since returning from the DL. The Angels are off to a typical slow start, and you have to wonder if the emotional roller coaster from last week has took its toll.
Dodgers 5 Giants 4 Why doesn’t this rivalry get more burn? Oh yeah, because they are on the coast that doesn’t matter. Is Manny ever going to hit a home run this season?
Marlins 10 Braves 4 Say it with me; Best team in baseball. You really cannot argue against it at this point. They aren’t sneaking by teams right now. They have dominated since the season began. I know, not even two weeks old. Dan Uggla may suck in the field, but he can hit, and he delivered yesterday to lead the Marlins over the Braves.
Cardinals 12 Diamondbacks 7- People wanted to write off Ryan Ludwick’s surprising 2008 season, maybe they should have waited on that. He hit is 3rd home run of the young season yesterday, as the Cards exploded for 12 runs on 13 hits. Must be nice to bat behind Pujols.
Red Sox 8 A’s 2- The knuckleball was dancing into the 8th yesterday, but Wakfield couldn’t seal the deal against the impatient A’s hitters. The Red Sox are still in last place, and David Ortiz sucks without Manny Ramirez.
Yankees 4 Rays 3- Things didn’t look good when the Yanks got pounded on Monday night 15-5. However with strong performances from AJ Burnett and Andy Pettitte, along with new 8th inning man Brian Bruney, the Yanks took 2 of 3 from the defending AL Champs. Not to mention Captain Clutch returning the last couple days. How ya doin’, Derek? Nice way to finish a 9 game road trip that opened up your season.

To go 5-4 on the roadtrip is really pretty good for the Yanks considering Ching Ming got blown out early in two of the losses. Of course either Wang has to get back to his old form or they need a new pitcher.

He would suck more (if that’s possible) with Manny hitting behind him now.

I am reveling in the fact the Orioles are ahead of the Yanks and Bosox. I am making sure my friends who worship those teams know.
We all know how it will end, they are letting me have my fun while I can.
