Tiger fans better strap in for a long season. I know it is only 2 games in for them, but the pitching situation seems to be the same. Either the starting pitching blows, like in the season opener. Or the bullpen gets lit up. Edwin Jackson pitched a terrific game, but new reliever Brandon Lyon was knocked around in the 8th. He gave up a 3-run home run to Aaron Hill to give the Jays the win.
The Houston Astros delivered the first of many heartbreakers to the Chicago Cubs.
The Marlins were suppposed to be a team that was strictly built on pitching, but they are tearing the cover off the ball, especially Jorge Cantu. Granted, they are playing the Nats; who we already know suck.
The Red Sox juiced during the 3rd inning yesterday to help knock off the defending AL Champs.
Ubaldo Jimenez pitched 7 scoreless at Arizona to give the Rockies a more convential win at Chase Field. Troy Tulowitzki collected a tater. We need to hear that term again more.
That was fun while it lasted. The Pirates enjoyed being in first, and being undefeated for a day. They still are tied for first, but the Cards will change that when they win again. Albert Pujols is good.
Royals Vs White Sox. Jim Thome at bat, and Kyle Farnsworth on the mound in a close game. Need I say more?
Good thing Manny chose was forced to play in LA. 2 games and no home runs? The NY media would be going insane. Don’t believe me? Watch what happens if Teixeira goes 1-4 with no home runs today. Back to Manny and the Dodgers; they lost.
Everything else that happened yesterday can be found here.

ARod has 0 home runs and I don’t hear his name in the NY media.

LA media only beats up the Clippers, never the Dodgers or Lakers.

Sparty left
Josh Beckett off the
Pitching Stars list…shocking.

Hmmm…that comment would make more sense if I used the right tags.

john,
i figured it out on the 4th re-reading
and i’m sure it was sparty’s formula that kept beckett off the list

the above lists seem to be based upon logic and reasoning…they have no place on this website.

i was wondering how long it would take to get john riled up about that.

It’s a long season, so I’m not going to use all my rile after the first Red Sox snub.

No worries john, there will be 162 of them to choose from.

Damn…Victorino and Zimmerman have started 0-fer…dragging my team down.
