It has been a long grueling 7 days. We have experienced epic upsets and showdowns that went into the last minute. We have finally reached the climax of the most important tournament of all-time. The Finals of the Sparty & Friends Movieology begins, now.
Caddyshack made it here today with little to no resistance. It blew away all competitors along its march to Alabama. Yesterday it took on and ended the Cinderella story of Remember the Titans. Caddyshack enters the finals as the heavy favorite.
The other national semifinal was as close as it could get, as Major League and Hoosiers went back and forth all day. However, this time around Jimmy Chitwood clanged a shot off the back of the iron in the end, as Major League pulled off the upset by 1 vote.
This leads us to the Caddyshack vs Major League final. Two comedies in the finals. Both 4 seeds. What does that say about our country? Remember, 2-days all weekend long for voting in the finals. Tell your friends.

This shows the demographic of our readers quite well…we’re down to Caddyshack and Major League. Both great movies, but the best sports movies ever? GatorTrey(Quote)
can’t believe Hoosiers lost by 1 vote. sparty(Quote)
The second day of voting is just going to be a victory lap for Caddyshack. john(Quote)
No, that would be Rocky IV. john(Quote)
Trey actually I do think that Caddyshack is the best of the sports movies, especially if you like comedies Johnny(Quote)
I have no real issue with Caddyshack being in the final 2, but major league is not a better sports movie than Hoosiers. sparty(Quote)
Sparty is right. Hoosiers > Caddyshack > Major League knightwhosaysni(Quote)
The entire bracket lost all credibility when Slapshot lost. HawkEye19(Quote)
The Hustler. gatortrey(Quote)
Football bracket lost credibility when the Program was upset sae(Quote)
That’s because you people have no taste in movies. Democracy sucks. I think we need a dictatorship here, and Sparty needs to just declare a winner. If you don’t like it, move to Cuba.
/Field of Dreams is #1. Just wasn’t their year. Wait ’til next year. Fiesta Trio(Quote)
i am struggling with this comment, anyone else? sparty(Quote)
So if I don’t like dictatorships, I should move to a country run by a dictator? Makes perfect sense to me. john(Quote)
i would’ve liked to see the results if the interest would have stayed as high as the first day of voting, when matchups were getting 700 votes sae(Quote)
If it wasn’t for my horse, I wouldn’t have spent that year in college. HawkEye19(Quote)

Good form, John. Fiesta Trio(Quote)
Looks like your movie expert was pretty good. He called Caddyshack as the winner, and also correctly stated that the demographics would vote for comedies over substance.
Rudy, Hoosiers, Field of Dreams, Raging Bull, Hustler are all better SPORTS movies than any comedy. patphish(Quote)
i actually think i cast the deciding vote in the major league/ hoosiers match up
i only picked major league because i never saw hoosiers so i went with the familiar Johnny(Quote)
Overall, the results of these votes really say a lot about the voters. It’s just too bad that Airborne wasn’t in the field. That Seth Green / Jack Black classic would’ve killed the competition. I tell you no lies, my friends. Dustin Dawind(Quote)
Airborne? Never heard of it. rekcalsa(Quote)
Airborne was so bad it was good. sparty(Quote)
