Ok…

Maryland sucks because of it’s geographical location. There’s no sexy appeal to attending College Park. It fucking sucks. Granted Maryland is ACC basketball (the best there is, sorry Big East fans!), but unlike almost every other of the prominent college basketball schools, Maryland is overwhelmed by it’s location, Washington DC. Take almost any other big time college program and look where it’s located. Everyone of those schools RUNS their respective town. The Terp fan base is loyal and supportive, but if you’re a 5-star stud coming out of high school, where would you want to go to college? Kansas? UNC? UCONN? Those schools dominate local headlines and table talk alike during the season and as well in the off-season. It’s just a distinctive advantage to have that kind of draw for recruiting.

Also, the Washington Post is an extremely negative news source when it comes to Williams and MD basketball. It never helps when everything written about the team in the local paper is criticism.

I agree 100% that Cole Field House was the shit. I miss that place.

Maybe he had the same problem writing the Duke Sucks post and it just came out sounding like Duke was great. So far the only success he has had in convincing me that something sucks is Paul Pierce.

Gary Williams sucks at coaching, and he really sucks at recruiting. Keith Booth sucked so bad as a NBA player, he was forced to be an assistant coach for a sucky program. The Maryland fans suck, because they aren’t as loud in the Comcast Center as they were in the Cole Field House.
