The Morning After: March 22, 2009

By patphish

tma-weekend Good Morning. How great have the last three days been? If you picked the chalk, you are rolling right along right now. I lost final four pick Illinois in the first round. I don’t care. I have won the pools I have been in only twice in about the 25 years I have been filling out brackets; 1999 and 2004. That’s because in order to win a pool, you pretty much have to pick the champ. And I pick UConn every year. It’s not that I believe they are best team every year, it’s because I just can’t pick against them. I cannot do it. Absolutely incapable of accepting the fact they may lose.
The big seeds are rolling along, the top 4 seeds went 17-1 in the first round, only ACC fraud Wake Forest screwed it up. Then yesterday the chalk won every game. I know that Purdue was a 5 and Washington a 4, but I also know that the Boilers play in the Big TEleveN and the Huskies play in the joke PAC 10. I also know that Purdue is going to be the toughest game for the FNCUH next weekend. They scare me to death.

I have a rule I live by. It is I never bust a die hard fan’s balls the day after they lose unless it’s to a team I root for. So, Memphis>Maryland.

Not sure I could less about a game.

Sooners>Wolverines, but I have feeling Michigan is back.

Villanova>>>>>>>>>>>>>>UCLA, its that Big East thing again.

UNC>LSU, Tigers kept it close in a glorified home game for the Tar Heels.

Figures, the game of the day features a couple of mid majors.

Dumb. Dumb. Dumb.

Sad. Sad. Sad.

32-1.

3rd base is not the position to play if you are dizzy.

Just Because: Craiglist rules. Miz, if you get bored this week, you gotta try this.

Have a good day, 3 more Big East Teams will advance.
