BRACKETOLO-TREY SELECTION SUNDAY UPDATED!!!

By GatorTrey

spartycbbWe here at Sparty and Friends love to get things wrong.  Joe Lunardi is the resident Bracketologist at ESPN, and his claim to fame is that he gets them all right (on selection Sunday…).  Well, I don’t have the time to seed them and put them in brackets with the playing locations of the teams to be named, but I can give ya who is in and who is out.

With the major conference tournaments starting this week, I thought I’d run down who is in and out as of Sunday’s final regular season showdowns.

The first part is fairly easy…(Red=earned berth)

There are a few things I should qualify.

Championship games make it hard to project the field sometimes. There are a few things that could happen today. Mississippi State killed another Bubble team with the SEC title, sorry Zona.

Your One-School Conference Bids (21):
America East- Binghamton
Atlantic SunEast Tennessee State
Big SkyPortland State
Big South- Radford
Big West- Cal State Northridge
ColonialVCU
Conference USAMemphis
Ivy -Cornell
MAAC- Siena
MACAkron
MEACThe POWERFUL Morgan State
NortheastRobert Morris
Ohio ValleyMorehead State
PatriotAmerican
SouthernChattanooga
Southland – Stephen F. Austin
SouthwesternAlabama State
SummitNorth Dakota State
Sun BeltWestern Kentucky
WCC- Gonzaga
WACUtah State

Here is where it gets tricky -

Your Multiple Bid Leagues (in order of finish…in conference tourneys):

A-10 (3) – Temple, Xavier, Dayton
ACC (7) – Duke, FSU, UNC, Wake Forest, Clemson, Maryland, Boston College
Big East (7) – Louisville, Syracuse, West Virginia, Marquette, Pitt, UConn,  Villanova,  Providence
Big 10 (7) – Ohio State, Purdue, Michigan State, Illinois, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan
Big 12 (6) – Missouri, Oklahoma State, Kansas, Oklahoma,  Texas, Texas A&M
Horizon (2) - Cleveland State, Butler
Missouri Valley (2) - Northern Iowa, Creighton
Mountain West (2) – Utah, BYU,
Pac 10 (6) – USC, Arizona State, Washington, UCLA, Cal
SEC (2) -Mississippi State, Tennessee, LSU

And just missing the cut:

Arizona, Penn State, San Diego State, Auburn, UNLV, Florida, St. Mary’s, Davidson

And your 1-seeds:

UNC, Louisville, Memphis and Pitt

Bubble Burst:

Florida – Sloppy late play against Auburn likely puts them in the NIT
