The Morning After: March 13, 2009

By sparty

The Morning AfterI am not too sure how often it happens, but we just had two months in a row with Friday the 13th.  I am sure it probably happens every February and March when the 13th lands on a Friday in the 2nd month of the year.  I still find it kinda cool.

I guess Paychex has already started giving us our stimulus tax cut.  Can’t wait to spend it at business that will be increasing the markup on their products because they are being taxed more.  That’s called pulling the wool over the poors eye’s (don’t consider myself poor).

Duke Sucks (that’s a tease in the biz)

It is 6:45am and Syracuse just beat UConn in the 24th OT.  I am not even going to attempt to recap all the goings on last night in the NCAA, so check out the scores.

A look back at the NCAA Tournament MOPs.

This is why Spencer is an MVP in my book.  He just doesn’t go off on the rivals of his own teams.  He is not afraid to call out other player’s for being complete and total asses.  Latest target of Spencer’s wrath; Jonathon Papelbon.

Now here is some information about a truly great closer that is a class act all the way.

Celebrating the great Irish athletes of this day and age. Patphish is as Jewish as these guys are Irish.

GatorTrey and I were talking yesterday about how fun it was to watch the Bulls, even if you hated them.  Jordan meant so much to the NBA.  The Bulls were so dominant in the 90s.

RuPaul Chris Bosh to be TV weatherman for a day.

KG is wearing a UCLA jersey?  What is interesting about this commercial is that none of these guys went college.  KG was most likely headed to Michigan to play with Louis Bullock and Tractor Traylor, but apparently Ed Martin wasn’t handing out enough cash.

Charles Barkley talks about his time in the clink.

Just because he is in Buffalo, doesn’t mean TO’s reality show isn’t happening.  It is me, or does that look like the Uncle Phil’s house?

ESPN says no to the boobies.

Maybe it was some other leaf in Popeye’s spinach cans that gave him his strength.

Speaking of pot. Patphish, your buddies got busted.

Have you ever used Yahoo Answers?  Sometimes it is helpful, but people ask everything there.

Russia is shooting the most dope.

If any of you have kids nearing college, or if any of our readers are nearing college,  some good advice to not put you too far into debt.

Bruce Pearl was a mascot.  Not.even.remotely.surprised.

Happy Friday!!!
