The guidance counselor at my son's high school said that before your kid applies to college, punch in his name and see what comes up. Kids have been rejected by colleges since there was a picture on their or a friend's myspace or facebook page with them partying or doing something else frowned upon. Many employers have fired people who posted info on the company online in chat rooms or bulletin boards. Also, assume there is a camera everywhere these days. Look at Michael Phelps.
