Agreed John. The Pats were going to cut Vrabel for cap reasons anyway (sadly). Remember when the Pats got a 2nd rounder for Drew Bledsoe after the 2001 season and people were saying it was a great deal? Bledsoe’s a borderline Hall of Famer – Cassel has 15 NFL starts under his belt.
Besides, the $16M in cap space leaves lots of room to go get the guy pictured above…
