Happy Hour: Thursday Edition

By mizerle06

Today is the last Thursday of February.  More importantly, today is also only 21 days away from when the sun will be above the equator, crossing to the northern hemisphere at 11:47pm-ish to signal the official beginning of Spring!  I’m all about Winter ending ASAP, which is why I was cursing Puxahoweveryouspellit Phil when he saw his shadow and predicted 6 more weeks of winter.  That little rodent always sees his shadow…I’m beginning to think he’s perpetuating a hoax; but I don’t have solid proof yet.  Anywho, click on the “read more” linky after this sentence and take the magical trip known as the jump.

Not a whole heckuva lot happened in sports during the day…Vick’s been approved for home confinement.  Is that worthy of a link?  I guess it doesn’t matter because I linked it anyway.

Sparty thought you may enjoy this video.

Our boyz at MLJ have exposed the NY Post as nothing but a rag.

In addition to thinking smiling sharks are funny, Big D thinks scrambling crocodiles’ brains with magnets is funny too.  He’s definitely got a thing for predators at or near the top of the food chain, no?  Speaking of scrambled brains

Our boys over at Josh Q Public have located a pretty funny Beckham endorsement for a Viagra-type product.  I don’t care what Becks says; I wouldn’t recommend it in light of all the baby food scares.

Enough with all that , though.  What did we do have today!?  What we had was a postsplosion.  Observe (of course, in third person):

Miz opened the postsplosion of today with a linksplosion…and aided the health of Big D in the process.

Then, sparty broke some news about the Florida Gators being dirty.  Doesn’t matter if it’s true or not, the Gators are dirty; Lane Kiffin told me so.

Miz then came back and invited all to dream a little dream with him.

Mikey rolled his rear out of bed and gave us our much anticipated Cincinati Cincinatti Cinncinati Cincinnatee Cincinnati Reds preview.

Sparty tugged on the nostalgic heartstrings of mouthbreathers everywhere and brought back some rasslin(!!).

GITC brought his almost daily, but consistently wacky-formula-generated NBA Studs & Duds to finish out our regularly scheduled topical posts.  Side note, Steve Blake was the #1 Dud on his birthday…how many times does that happen?

I have no clue what’s on TV tonight but I’m pretty sure there’s some combination of NBA, NCAA Bball, NHL, and chick-shows.  Enjoy your evening and drop by to soak in and/or let out a comment or threve.
