Yesterday the NBA saw a clash of superheroes and apparently The Flash > Superman but, Superman’s contibution to the Justice League > The Flash’s contribution to the Justice League. Dwyane Wade dropped a half century on the ‘Gic, but his teammates combined for only 49 other points. Dwight Howard led his team to victory as he scored 32 (no small number) and his teammates scored 90 on their own. Stud Troy Murphy led the Pacers past the Bulls, Charlie Villanueva led the Bucks past the Nuggs, and Andrea Bargnani led the Raptors past the Knicks with a little help from Dud of the Day (Welcome Back!) Larry Hughes. The Celtics beat the Suns at their own game as Steve Nash proved he can’t guard Stud Rajon Rondo. The Rockets beat the Bobcats as Michael Jordan shockingly showed up for a road game. The Blazers beat up on the Clippers as Steve Blake tied the NBA record for most assists in a quarter with 14 in the 1st (he finished with 18 as the Blazers let up). The record is now shared between Blake and John Lucas, both Maryland Terrapin greats. The Lakers held on in Minnesota to beat the T’Wolves by three, 111-108. In the game everybody was watching during commercial breaks of the Oscars, the Cavs demolished the Pistons as LeBron scored 14 in the 1st quarter and the Cavs never looked back. Lists and clip after the jump and take note of the new look of the Youtube player. Is very nice!

Wade over Dwight? AYFKM? Because he threw up 50?
Nothing like a player who throws up 50 in a 23 point loss. GatorTrey(Quote)
While Dwight and the Magic prevailed, Wade was stud yesterday knightro(Quote)
D-Ho was a beast. sparty(Quote)
Trey-
Dwight’s board s just aren’t enough to bump off 18 extra points especially when you consider the poor free throw shooting and Wade’s rebounds and assists. guyinthecorner(Quote)
Or the 23 points that Dwight’s team beat Wade’s team by… GatorTrey(Quote)
P-Pierce > R-Rondo > D-Wade > D-Ho john(Quote)
gitc-hypothetically: Two players have identical numbers in the same game. one plays for the winning team, the other for the losing team. in your formula; do they tie for the #1 stud of the day? sparty(Quote)
big mac 70 hrs…sosa 66 hrs
sosa didnt get the most dingers but his team makes the post season…sosa get the mvp…winning should always be a factor mikeychx(Quote)
sparty, congrats to your spartans yesterday, i happened to turn it on just in time (12 point lead) to see our collapse. gave me flashbacks to the 6 game losing streak sae(Quote)
sae- it reminded me of the type of games we would lose in the Kohl Center. sparty(Quote)
I’m guessing the two players with identical stats tie, unless one player is a Celtic and in that case they automatically get dropped down a spot no matter if they won or lost. john(Quote)
Old news but it was great to see Roger Mason come back and destroy the Wizards. Way to go Ernie! cbh49er(Quote)
so Rondo with 32 points and 10 assists (mimimum total contribution of 52 points) is lower than Odom with 25 points and 3 assists (mimimum total contribution of 31 points)?
makes sense to me… mizerle06(Quote)
During the game yesterday, the ABC crew mentioned all the draft picks the Suns have given up the past few years and who they turned out to be. I don’t remember all the names, but they could have had Rondo, Deng and 2 or 3 other really decent young players. Ouch. john(Quote)
Threadjack again, sorry.
Nats fan if you are out there, what exactly does the organization like about Bowden that they keep him around. He seems to bring nothing but bad press.

John, the owner is a penny pincher. cbh49er(Quote)
I just put in the highlights for the studs but normally the difference is missed free throws and turnovers
I don’t actually have a system for exact ties because they never happen guyinthecorner(Quote)

As far as the Sosa/Mcguire thing goes, Sosa won because essentially all of his stats were better than McGuire’s other than homers guyinthecorner(Quote)
