The Morning After: February 21, 2009

When I first heard about the injury to Amar’e Stoudemire I just thought it really sucked for the Suns who are fighting for a playoff spot in the Western Conference.  Granted they have scored 140pts in each of their last 3 games, including last nights contest without Stoudemire.  They should not keep up that pace as they face stiffer competition later on.  Then I realized that this injury impacts me.  Well, not me, but my fantasy team!  Jason Richardson needs to become a 30pt a night guy to help pick up the scoring I am about to lose.  But where do I get the rebounds and high FG%?  I’m screwed.

LeBron James put on a show against Milwaukee last night, scoring 55 pts in the Cavs win.  During a 2 and half minute span in the 3rd quarter, James score 16pts.  Yeah, he’s good.

Kobe only scored 39 pts in a victory over the Hornets.  He needed OT too.

Utah Jazz owner, Larry H Miller, passed away yesterday.

Boston will be without KG for the next 2-3 with a knee strain.

The Cards stand a good chance of getting back to the playoffs next season, Kurt Warner will be back to throw it to Fitzgerald and Breaston (and Boldin?).

Could the dog fighter be playing in SF or Minnesota?

The Stanford Financial Group scandal has caused the assets of Damon and Nady to be frozen.

This kid is only  6 years old.

Very slow night of sports news.  We will see you back here for College basketball later.
