The Morning After: February 20, 2009

By sparty

tmalogoI have no clever opening today, and since no one really ever comments on that anyway, I present you with a Bacon Cheese Pizza Burger: Giant burger between two large meat pizzas, eggs, bacon, colby and pepper jack cheese.

I know it is early in the morning, but come on, you know you are thinking about wanting to take  a huge bite out of that thing.  Or you gave yourself a heart attack just thinking about eating it.

The Red Soxfans are going to get as much joy out of the A-Rod story as possible.

A conversation between A-Rod and his real cousin.

So how do you look at Jose Canseco, Steroid Era Hero or Slimy Opportunist?

Here is your full World Baseball Classic schedule.

Curtis Granderson is the face of Detroit sports? For now, maybe. If the Lions can somehow shock the world and win 7 games next season, it will be Calvin Johnson.

The Top 10 Steroid Era Playa’s. There is one glaring omission from this list. I would take Gagne off and replace him with a certain slugger.

Now that we chased Miz out of here with all the baseball links, let’s look at some other good stuff.

It only took 20 years, but the Simpsons finally have a brand new intro:

Mikey has a dozen of these on order.

Get back to sports you say? Okay.

There were a few insignificant trades in the NBA. Since there are no Studs & Duds today, maybe a certain writer will have a review of this done by 2pm.

Pistons Suck

Now that the NBA Trade Deadline has come and gone, here is a look at 10 names in the NHL that might move before their deadline. The best GM in sports, the Red Wings Ken Holland, usually does his dirty work at this time.

NHL brothers/players and the Corleone’s?

Michigan is in, Minnesota might be out. Either way, I am still winning my bet at this point with The Big Lead.

My buddy JROD needs to know that Indiana basketball fans will not have to wait nearly as long as Oklahoma football fans did.

Mike Leach will be sticking around Texas Tech after all.

No more Peyton to Harrison? Looks like that era may finally be over.

In my high school, this never would have happened to a swimmer. But I guess the swimmers at Colorado State aren’t as awesome as we were.

One more sports related thing…He’s baaaaaaaaaaaaack.

Pamela Anderson. SFW, NSFW? I don’t know, you make the call.

Sorry about that. Can I make it up to you?
