Is it really that much of a story though? Not really.

The problem with this Super Bowl that that they are trying to find stories.

Arizona was a very mediocore and underappreciated team most the season, that stepped it up in the playoffs…but it doesn’t have that Mason or ‘85 Nova or even this past seasons Devil Rays type feel.

The Steelers are a great organization, and thats it. No one controversal, no one outlandish, and no figure that transcends the sports media.

For all we know this could be a great game, but I have a feeling the numbers are going to be bad for Super Bowl standard.

The sub-plot that gets no mention in this build-up is the Rooney Rule. When The Chin retired, everyone expected Wisenhut to get the job – but Rooney had to follow his own rule and interview someone else. Tomlin blew him away in the interview and got the job, so Wisenhut left for Arizona. This is a game of the better interviewer against the spurned coach — all because of the fabulous Rooney Rule.
