The Morning After: January 20, 2009

By sparty

Today we inaugurate Barack Obama as the 44th President of the United States of America. Is that what we are doing? You could have fooled me. It sure seems like today is more of a coronation than anything else. I don’t have many problems with the incoming Commander-in-Chief, and I understand the historical significance of today as well, I just feel very odd about what is going on.

It is not like me to get political within this forum, but I just don’t like the media hype that has been behind this. I am not going to go into detail on it, just felt like getting that off my chest.

I do look forward to the next four years, because I was very tired of the last 8.

Being that yesterday was MLK day, not much went down in the newsworthy department in sports. Sure, their were games, but pretty quiet otherwise…

The Buzzsaw that is the Arizona Cardinals continue down their path towards the Super Bowl, but will they have a major distraction the rest of the way? Boldin has not wanted to be in Arizona since the season began, this is not something new.

Are you looking to get into the game in Tampa? Here are 5 ways of doing so. Either way, it isn’t going to be cheap.

Super Bowl QBs and their women. Where is Brenda Warner???

Good news out Balitmore is that Willis McGahee is going to be okay after suffering a this vicious hit:

The New York Football Giants have found Steve Spagnuolo’s replacement, and didn’t have to look far, promoting LBs coach Bill Sheridan to defensive coordinator. Good. Move.

People around here always talk about the possiblity of a Subway-Series, but the chances of that happening are not very good.

Did the Baltimore Orioles finally make a good deal? They spent some money on their own, aboutana-ivanovic-bikini2 time.

We have major tournament going on in Tennis (Australian Open), that means more Ana Ivanovic. She is simply stunning. It makes me want to turn on Tennis for about a minute and half. Well, maybe about a 1 min.

Okay, stop staring at the pic.

Scout runs down the top 100 returning players to college football. Take a wild guess as to who they have ranked as number 1? Let’s just say it isn’t the Heisman winner. In fact, Bradford is ranked 3rd. For those curious, Michigan State’s highest ranked player is MLB, Greg Jones.

On a serious note; Tell your kids to go outside!!!

Men, if we make more money, we will be more successful in bed. It is science.

55 beers that will kick your ass.

Seriously, the friggin Cards????????

Miz note: stick around…we’ve got a special interview coming for you later this morning!
