Thanks jp. I was working out on my bike trainer while watching the game. I have a superstition that if I pedal harder, the team will do better. I think i got tired in the 2nd half when ND closed to 5 points so I ramped it back up and they won by 19 with the walk-ons on the floor. Good win for Cuse. They played well despite a few slow stretches.
I still think Boeheim is going to run this team ragged by playing such a short lineup. Flynn is a very talented PG but still dribbles right into the big guys and turns it over too much. Also, Cuse has a dominant center for the first time since I have been following them but the guy was 0-7 or something like that from the FT line. Real Shaq’esque. Leads the nation in FG % and probably close to last in FT %.

JP, who are your college teams?

Found this article on West Virginia’s Kevin Pittsnoggle sort of interesting.
Pittsnoggle
For those great college players it has to be weird to go from 20,000 people cheering for you and blogs discussing your every move to living in a double wide trailer and hitting bingo night.

Great first half, eh, Sparty?

ugh, been an ugly game so far…we gotta hold on.

Are you commenting from your phone while playing or while on the bench?

you two sound like girls.

Well Michigan St. has won the 2 exact games Purdue has lost, so for now all I can say is Michigan St > Purdue. It’s only halfway through January though, a long way to go.

By the way, nice pick on IU making the tournament.

eh, some of us have the stones and are not afraid of looking like an ass.
(Quote)
Ha. Well you didn’t think I could say Michigan St > Purdue without some sort of jab to accompany it did you?
(Quote)
I just love the fact that IU sucks. Screw those arrogant pricks in Bloomington.

Purdue 107 Indiana 83 in the all time series. Suck it Hoosiers.

Honestly, college basketball doesn’t mean anything anymore. Well, for the players it does, improving NBA prospects and such. But, the one and done rule has lost all of NCAAB’s integrity. Now kids are not going to schools because of their tradition or to wear their colors with pride. They pick a school that has a high ranking or that has tremendous talent that would complement his particular position, and that is a good decision for them. It just makes the sport as a whole meaningless.

Myles Brand has pancreatic cancer

Pancreatic is a bad cancer to have. Not that there is a good cancer but we can only hope for the best for him.
(Quote)
I hope he steps down and is replaced by someone who isn’t bad at the job. And that he recovers of course.
