“Yesssss”…or so says Marv Albert. Me – I am a little bummed that we are going to be reduced to basketball only- pretty soon. N0t that I do not care for basketball – In fact I love basketball…but when basketball is all youve got it kind of makes you long for other sports.
Seriously – we have what? Three NFL games left ( I know there’s the Pro Bowl…but I did also say NFL Games …didnt I?). After football we have nothing but basketball for a solid seven weeks until the MLB starts….tell me – is this why people watch hockey?
Maybe – Ill try some hockey out this year who knows. Do we have enough people here who care about hockey enough to cover it?
It was retrospctive day here at Sparty and Friends. Sparty started out the theme by reflecting on the WCNYFBG losing the WC from the front of the acronym…and went into detail about the emotions and anger that go along with that sort of loss….I know it well (Cubs Fan…but at least you guys have won something – come to think of it – I got nothing).
Whats this…Sparty continued the theme by revisiting Jim Rice a Roni getting into the HOF…I agree to a degree (tounge twisting) the steroid era is going to be very good to alot of marginal Hall of Famers.
GatorTrey took us to Dolphin Stadium where he recapped his time watching the BCSNCUFG and the hijinks that followed….if singing about peaches can be considered hijinks that is.
Finally we had a guest contibutor come by an regale the career that was Tony Dungy as a football Head Coach. I love you Tony for all you did to bring the Bucs some respect. Nice piece and a must read by BSander from TBL Commenting Fame.
