Happy Hour: Moving On…

By mizerle06

7108happy-hour-club-postersI always feel like this part of the year is somewhat depressing.  It’s (usually) cold outside, Saturday football has just ended, and we’re only a couple of weeks away from Sunday football being nonexistant as well.

Fortunately though, we’ve got college basketball heating us up with conference play and the NBA approaching the mid-point of its season and making playoff standings a relevant concern for fans!

So what’d we do today?

Mikey started us off this morning by inundating us with links about football…and I wouldn’t have wanted The Morning After any other way!

We all shed a collective tear for the final Monday morning college football recap of the season.  Hugs all around!.

Sparty regaled us with stories of how…uuuuuh, vincible(?) the mighty and invincible Tar Heels have become.  Hugs all around again!

Guyinthecorner baffled us some more with his NBA Studs & Duds.  I mean, Dwight Howard!?  Really?  That d00d’s a joke.

Finally, sparty freaked out about the announcement of the newest class of inductees into beisbol’s Hall of Very Good.

There’s a bunch of college roundball going on tonight, but there’s two matchups to keep an eye on: Notre Dame’s visit to Louisville @ 7:00 in the PM and Texas’ visit to LoserSoonerville @ 9:00 in the PM.

The NBA only has 12 teams operating this evening.  By the way, no team with a winning record is playing another team with a winning record tonight.  In fact, two of the games tonight feature a matchup where both teams have a losing record…ssssssssizzling hot night in The Association!

And, if figure skating is your thing, there’s a couple of those competitions tonight as well.

Don’t forget to exercise that First Ammendment right to drop a comment or fifteen on us tonight.  See you there!

Ed Note: I was emailed this link by a loyal reader/literary admirer of mine.  You should check it out; there’s some pretty interesting tidbits in there including Vegas’ bet that Notre Dame > Michigan > Michigan State in ‘09 college football.
