recently the o’s didn’t pay for anything, that is why they suck.

when they did, they overpaid for a lot of guys.

The O’s didn’t sign a deal with Sosa. He was traded there and the Cubs picked up 7 of his 17 for the one season.

Palmeiro was never overpaid on the O’s.

Millar was not overpaid either. Less than 9 million for 3 years?

Juan Gonzalez never played for the O’s.

Belle was overpaid at 5/65.

I’m sure that you know how bad the following signings were financially:

Jeter – 10/189
Posada – 4/52
Damon – 4/52
Matsui – 4/52
Cano – 4/30
Giambi – 7/120
Pavano – 4/40
Johnson – 2/32
Clemens – 1/28
Wright – 3/21

But when the Yankees continue to sign crazy deals you still think it’s awesome. If the O’s go and sign Derek Lowe to a 5/60 I won’t cheer it.
