Also, who is this Grant Hill you speak of? The same Grant Hill who played at Duke and dazzle Pissed-on fans in Detroit? I thought him and Penny Hardaway were living in a home for athletes with unrealized potential in south Florida somewhere.

The Celtics are definitely on a roll. But they aren’t exactly running away from the Cavs and Lakers.

And I love how Boston fans are already handing out superlatives and touting records at this point. But just for a minute, let’s remember how it turned out for the last Boston team that bulldozed the regular season. I’m just sayin’…

As the resident Syracuse fan here, I just have to comment again on that buzzer beater. Not being able to get the game on TV, I followed it with updates on the Internet. I called my friend who is a Syracuse alumnus and huge fan. He said I hope to god you are calling me to tell me how much they are up by. Well no, it was tied at halftime. OK, they will pull away in the 2nd half and by tourney time, this will be all forgotten. Well not quite.

Down 5 with under a minute, Syracuse sinks a 3, misses a 3 then puts in a layup with 5 seconds to go. OK, OT is not the end of the world. Then I see Cleveland State makes a 60 foot 3 pointer! How could that be.

After watching it on Sportcenter and now on the YouTube links, I still can’t believe it. When they have the top 10 plays of the year in college basketball, that is up there. It is one thing to throw one meaningless half court shot up but another to throw it in as time expires to win the game. Damn.

But congrats to Cleveland State. They actually have a good team, put it all together and came up with a miraculous win.

sounds a lot like Laimbeer.

You can’t say that about Sheed. He usually goes off because he doesn’t think it is getting called both ways equally…every once in awhile you can hear him say good call when he fouls a guy. of course, he could just be patronizing the refs.

Perkins never thinks he commits a foul, that’s his problem. When he gets called for one he always looks at the ref, with the same “what did I do wrong?” look and that’s where almost all his T’s come from.
