Don’t You Know Who I Am!?

By mizerle06

So it looks like we’ve got a new contributor here at Sparty and Friends. He’s been on the “Authors” list since last Tuesday and hasn’t done a thing. Who’s this new guy think he is? He thinks he can just come in here and start writing crap like he belongs? Pshaw.

I guess he may be around for a while so let’s do a Q&A and try to give him a chance.

Q: So, tell us your name and something internet-worthy about yourself.

mizerle06: My internet name is mizerle06 and I derived most of my initial fame from commenting at The Big Lead and Major League Jerk. My huge break came when Mr. Big Lead allowed me to do a post on Notre Dame’s schedule strength. I became an internet sensation overnight. I’ve also made the Top Commenters page at MLJ and am blowing my competition away, if we consider absolute value.

Q: Why are you working for Sparty and Friends?

mizerle06: I have an intense hunger to educate the masses with my wealth of knowledge in NASCAR and pro bass fishing. Sparty recognized the potential in the untapped blog market catering to these topics and when word reached him of my availability, he jumped immediately. (Actually, the big boss read my post at The Big Lead and was looking to kill some space at his blog so he offered me a job. His main pitch was something like, “the benefits are terrible and the pay is even worse.” With an offer like that, how could any self-respecting man refuse?)

Q: What topics will you be writing about at Sparty and Friends?

mizerle06: My favorite sports/leagues are college football, NFL, and college basketball so most of my sports-related writing will revolve around those. As you can probably tell by this interview so far, I’m an excellent orator and have mastered using English as my secondary language (southern Appalachia is my native tongue) so I may also be writing on a few non-sports topics every now and then.

Q: Do you have anything to say to fellow co-worker and author GatorTrey?

mizerle06:  I felt a little taken-advantage-of when I realized I had accepted a position to work with a Gator fan.  Then I realized I just moved to Florida and work alongside many Gator fans so hopefully we can get along.  I don’t have anything to say specifically to Mr. GatorTrey but I may have plenty to say about him come the week leading up to September 20, 2008.  I’ve got my eye on him for now.

Q: What about our friends over at MLJ?  Specifically the Commissioner,Hef.

mizerle06:  Hef?  Never heard of him.  Just kidding!  I just made that joke up.  You guys can feel free to use it whenever you’d like.  Anywho, Hef is a complicated and mysterious guy.  He rules with an iron fist at MLJ and really doesn’t hesitate to berate his employees.  However, he’s also a switch hitter that can be a sweet family man capable of penning delightful posts that tug at our heartstrings while simultaneously being one of the best stat-geeks in the biz.  The other guys are pretty cool.  They are obviously the talent over there and carry the site daily.  One negative observation though; there’s a little too much Ohio-talk over there.

Q: What kind of questions do you have for us? Maybe some of the commenters can help you get to know the site better.

mizerle06: I only have a couple of questions I guess. Where is the bathroom and how long do we get for lunch? Oh yeah, who’s the cartoonish guy in the fat suit wearing the green sundress and the broom on his head that’s pictured all over the place around here?
